Relax & Dare!
the feminine & masculine dance
of embodied awakening

  • Relaxing into ourselves, exactly as we are in the moment, is a key orientation in the Trillium Path based on the premise we are already fundamentally whole. Relaxing helps us unwind from chronic hypermasculine striving.
  • Daring - equally important - allows us to occupy more dimensions of our total Being and discover inspired action.
  • Relax and Dare to:
    • explore consciousness
    • experience embodiment
    • engage mutuality

In this workshop we will use creative processes to help us relax, listen to, and welcome ourselves deeply. We will also use them to dare to know, embody, and express our truth to ourselves and others in a safe, playful environment. Skills that you learned in kindergarten will be employed. No previous experience, or identity as an "artist," is necessary.

This interplay between relaxation and daring creates a spiral of unfolding, allowing what no longer serves to fall away, inviting deeper resting in consciousness and embodiment, and more authentic relating in mutuality.

This workshop will be useful regardless of where you are in your awakening process.
This workshop includes opportunities for:
  • Gazing
  • Writing as a tool to explore consciousness
  • Art, voice, and movement as pathways of embodiment
  • Yoga of Mutuality (using yoga to play in embodied mutuality)
  • We-space and Mutuality (deepening our shared mutual consciousness)
  • Large and small group work
  • Optional: nectar on Saturday evening

Geri Portnoy, Trillium Olympia
Margit Bantowsky, MA
Interning Teacher

Margit began exploring Trillium Awakening (formerly Waking Down) in 2011. Her spiritual journey evolved out of graduate work in Imaginal Psychology, and as juicy as that was, she still felt there was something missing. Landing in conscious embodiment in 2012 finally gave Margit the sense of "coming home" she longed for.

As a sensitive, creative person who struggled with debilitating self-hatred, Margit is passionate about supporting people to find peace in themselves, and ultimately delight in and express their unique gifts and brilliance. She has found that embodied awakening, especially in community, really helps this process.

Margit has a private practice of Transformative Coaching, and has taught many workshops and courses on creativity, leadership, and personal growth.  Along with a deep environmental sensitivity (she was an environmental engineer for ~ 20 years) Margit is passionate about what she calls the social dimensions of awakening and mutuality - deeply encountering the suffering of others and allowing oneself to be transformed by it.

Joanne Lee
Interning Teacher

A lifetime of seeking and decades of personal work left Joanne seriously mired in the rot when she discovered this spiritual path. Her exploration of Trillium dharma (then known as Waking Down in Mutuality) quickly culminated in her embodied awakening as love in 2013. With unbounded gratitude for the gifts received, she enthusiastically began to contribute to the building of a local Trillium community in Olympia, as well as to move into mentoring others on this path. Becoming a teacher in the fall of 2016 was a natural next step.

Joanne has had a private practice as a business and personal coach since 1998. She has offered many workshops over the years in areas of personal and organizational growth. She is a high creative (artist, dancer, writer) and recently published a how-to manual called CREATE! Accessing Depth Creativity, Divine Guidance and Universal Wisdom at Will. She teaches the CREATE! process and runs groups.

Some of the activities that keep her healthy and happy include yoga, dance, gardening, cooking, hiking, camping, kayaking, and paddle boarding.
