how to join the Oly circle?
Step 1. Initial Explorations
Start getting your feet wet by doing some initial explorations into the Trillium path (see "Getting Started" page).

Step 2. Welcome Meeting
Set up a Welcome Meeting with our Welcomer, Kirstin Eventyr. She can be reached by completing our contact form. This allows us to get a feel for where you are in your process and with the Trillium teachings, give you some background about the Trillium community in Olympia, and answer whatever questions you might have so far. We can also point you to additional resources or suggestions for your early explorations of the Trillium work.

Step 3. Deepen your engagement in the Trillium path.
For the next several months, we encourage you to attend multiple teacher-led sittings and read Trillium materials at whatever pace feels right for you. There are many ways to deepen your engagement. Some are listed on our Next Steps page. Of course you are free (and encouraged) to attend sittings online - it's great to get exposed to different teachers! However, in order to join the Oly Circle, you should participate locally as well, including the sittings, so that you can start building relationships with current circle members and local teachers and mentors. This acclimation process helps create resonance and trust between you and the mutuality community. |
Step 4. Complete the Prerequisites
After several months of attending teacher-led sittings in Olympia with members of our community and/or online, you can ask to become part of the Mutuality Circle. This step is for when you feel ready to commit more deeply to this path and have completed one or more of the following:
Becoming a member of the Oly Circle also means having the maturity and capacity to co-create a safe, transformative environment by demonstrating an ability to deeply hear and respect others' experience, strong self-awareness, and well-developed self-responsibility skills.
We request that you have a clear understanding of the risks involved in participating in the circle. Embodied awakening entails deeply encountering our humanity, and can activate uncomfortable feelings and emotions. The safety of the group depends on all of us taking responsibility for our emotional and mental health, and during difficult times it may be appropriate to seek professional support. We ask that you read the following:
1. The Oly Circle's member agreements,
2. General disclaimer, and
3. The guidelines for practicing mutuality by CC Leigh which outlines how we respond to one another in mutuality.

Step 5. Request to join the Oly Circle
If you feel a strong resonance with the Trillium teachings, and you have a strong desire to commit more deeply to this path, contact a TA Olympia teacher or the Welcomer to express your desire to join.
The teacher will discuss your request with other members of the TA Olympia leadership team. You may be invited to join the Circle right away or they may make other recommendations to help you prepare.
