Creative expression is one powerful way that our life force manifests in the world. While for some it is already a big part of how they see and present themselves, for others of us it is less obvious.
The effortless flow of our Being is our own unique creative expression. This weekend we will look at how everyday creative expressions are already manifesting in our lives, their connection to our authentic spiritual core, and their relationship to Waking Down and the Mystery of life.

Fax and Sharon Gilbert met on a Transcendental Meditation teachers course in 1972 in Santa Barbara California and have been teaching together ever since. They’ve administered meditation centers and retreat facilities and inspired and taught thousands of people to meditate throughout the United States and in several foreign countries. Each went through their own version of “the rot” before getting involved in the Waking Down work in 2002. Several awakenings and dark nights of the soul later they became mentors and then teachers of this work in 2007. They both enjoy the freedom to express this teaching in their own way and marvel at the unique unfolding of each person in this mysterious process of awakening. Fax is an artist/educator who uses simple theater games to teach and inspire students of all grade levels. Since 1990 he has presented his unique blend of mime, masks and magic at over 5000 school assembly programs, residencies, festivals and community concerts throughout the Midwest. Sharon is on the Waking Down Teachers Assn. governing board and has been facilitating the monthly teachers meeting for seven years. In addition to her teaching and administrative activity she spends her time writing, editing, gardening, reading a wide range of books and watching cooking shows. TESTIMONIALS
TestimonialsI habitually refer to myself as an introvert. I was a bit nervous and concerned about attending this one ... almost didn't. So glad I did! I was totally relaxed and 'into' it. Thank you, Sharon & Fax, for a great, memorable weekend of growth! R.H. Minneapolis A rip roaring laughing crying loving down event. Waking down, singing down crying down drawing down and just waking down. D.D. Minneapolis I SO MUCH enjoyed being with you both this past week-end. The weaving of the creative expressions through words, body movements, playful games and writing helped me to access parts of my Being that normally remain hidden in public (and sometimes remain hidden even when I am alone!) It felt empowering to be part of a group’s creativity in this way, to be included, to make my own unique contribution. W.R. Toronto The WD everyday creative expression intensive on Feb 7-8 was unique and outstanding. I personally will love to explore again with Fax and Sharon drama, writing, and everyday life in the light of Waking Down. D.M. Chicago |
