In Memory of CJ Mortinson
Our community lost a dear friend in CJ Mortinson when she died on November 11, 2019. CJ started attending Olympia Trillium events in February 2019. She jumped in with both feet while at the same time speaking about her hesitation and reluctance to believe Trillium could be all it promised. She would routinely ask, "Are you people for real?" It meant a lot to her to have the recognition that she was significantly changed by her involvement in Trillium. The way she described it, she "woke up brand new" and got to know herself all over again.
Those who got to spend time with CJ remember her most for her sense of humor. She could quip a one liner that cut to the essence of a discussion or lesson. She was humble and yet very wise.
CJ was aware that her health problems were life threatening and she very much wanted to live. She had plans for her business and her Trillium path. She was intimately involved in raising her grandchildren and longed to see them grow to adulthood. CJ had a trust in Being that carried her along in life and no doubt was with her to the end. Her legacy will carry on in her grandchildren and in the many lives she touched in her business and personal lives. She is and will be sorely missed in our community.
