Trillium Awakening
Event Descriptions

Sittings
Olympia's teacher-led Trillium sittings are generally held on the first Sunday of each month from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. In addition to monthly sittings with local teachers Margit Bantowsky and Joanne Lee,  we occasionally have sittings with visiting teachers from other areas. Contact our  coordinator  for registration information. See About Sittings page for a description of Trillium sittings. Donations of $20 are suggested.

Mutuality Circles
Mutuality circles are gatherings of peers facilitated by an awakened practitioner. Like sittings, these events include participant gazing, sharing, and holding in mutuality, with peer response that does not include giving advice. Circles can also include discussions about topics, essays, or books. We currently have one active mutuality circle in Olympia, and it is open to newcomers. It meets on the third Sunday of each month and is free (although a small donation for administrative expenses is appreciated). See 'Joining the Oly Circle' for more information.

Workshops
Attending intensive workshops can accelerate your unique awakening process. See Events listing for calendar and registration information.

One and Two-day workshops with local or visiting teachers. These workshops focus on a special aspect of the Trillium work, and also include both large group sittings and, if there is more than one teacher, small group sharing. Meals are generally not included. Olympia generally holds 3-4 weekend workshops a year.

Multiple-Day Retreats with local and visiting teachers. Longer events deepen immersion in the catalytic field of group transmission and can accelerate the awakening process. They also offer access to a variety of teachers in one location, and foster connection with fellow practitioners and the community. Olympia currently hosts a retreat every other year.

Social Gatherings
An important part of mutuality is hanging out together outside of more formal events so we can deepen in relationship and cultivate community. Examples include an Equinox party, summer potlucks, etc.

"The entire notion of a linear progression of awakening assumes a linearity of time. But time is not strictly linear, and the soul’s journey is not like that of a car driving on a road from one place to another; it’s more like the way clouds move."
